Kathy Vanooteghem, Registered Dental Hygienist / Office Manager
Kathy has been in the dental field since 1977. She loves working with patients and enjoys her dual responsibilities in the office. When not at work, you can usually find her on the tennis courts. Other hobbies most often involve one of her four wonderful kids or her precious dogs. Kathy adores fashion and shopping! She loves a good bargain! Overall, any outdoor activity is right up Kathy’s alley! Kathy will fill your ear with conversation about her children, just ask if you dare!
Kristel Krepelka, Registered Dental Hygienist
Kristel is our primary hygienist and performs the majority of our Periodontal Maintenance (cleanings) and Scaling/Root Planning (deep cleaning) treatments. Gentle and kind, she does her best to make the patient comfortable while still giving them the thorough treatment they expect and deserve. Her patients enjoy the quiet talks and calm atmosphere she provides. Kristel lives up in the Santa Cruz Mountains with her husband Travis and their young daughter, Abigale. They take long walks in the redwoods with their two Chihuahuas, Isabelle and Clarabelle, and sometimes even the cat, Anabelle. On nice days, her family often zips down for an afternoon at the beach. Kristel also enjoys gardening, cooking, baking, and reading.
Michelle Normandin, Administrative Assistant/Study Club Coordinator
Michelle has been in the dental field since 1995. She is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of dentistry and will quickly make patients feel comfortable and relaxed. Michelle, her husband Dave, and their son Tristan love to spend time with friends and family entertaining and going out for a nice meal. On the weekends, when the sun is shining, Michelle loves to be outdoors. When the weather is cold, she enjoys staying indoors snuggling and watching movies with her family and her German Sheperd, Sinbad. All season are a time for dark chocolate and shopping!
Mehrnaz Yazdi, Registered Dental Assistant
Mehrnaz is our surgical assistant and has been working in the dental field for 30 years. Raised in Iran and fluent in Farsi, her Persian charm and grace are recognized by patients and staff alike. She always has a warm smile that puts patients right at ease. Mehrnaz lives in Cupertino with her husband, Salman, and enjoys hosting and attending lovely parties — anything to warrant a beautiful new dress! Mehrnaz’s grown children, Amir and Yasamin, are still a big part of her life. They often call to request a lunch date, say they’re coming to dinner, or invite her to meet them at the gym.
Rachel Cruz, Registered Dental Assistant/Administrative Assistant
Rachel completed the Dental Assisting program at Foothill College in 2009. She is extremely helpful with anything computer related! She keeps the communication current between our office and referring doctors. She helps with patient care, as well. Rachel enjoys reading, swimming, cooking and playing with her adorable dog, Penny Lane. On the weekends she enjoys going to the movies with friends, shopping, and spending time with her family.
